A More Mature Style
From Kendall & Beate, Mane Attraction

Our makeover model Noelle will soon be graduating from the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State. She wants an older more mature look before she starts looking for her first job as an on air reporter. Isn’t it funny how when we are younger we want to look older and as we get older we want to look younger?
Noelle has a rounder facial structure and the full bangs did not suit her. I added some layers at the crown to elongate her features and cut a side swept bang to break up the symmetry of her face.

Her color was dull, lifeless and accentuated the frizziness. Stefanie, one of our color educators, used a rich red semi permanent color to compliment her skin and bring out her green eyes.
The correct brush is crucial to getting the right look. Noelle was using a vent brush which left her hair too frizzy. After the cut I took the hair in sections and used a Flat Denman Brush to give the hair a sleeker more polished finish.
Whenever you are on camera, whether it is video or photography, it is important to have shiny hair. After blow drying I sprayed an exciting new product from Bumble and bumble called Shine. It is a lightweight aerosol mist that adds a glossy luster to any hairstyle. Now, with her shiny new cut Noelle looks as if she just walked off the set of Good Day Arizona. |
