Jessica in Glendale needs a formal dress.

"My husband is the best man in his friends wedding, so he will be wearing a tux.  The problem is the invitation says black tie, and I have nothing to wear and don't even know where to start or what to wear.  We have just bought a house so we are on a budget.  I don't want to look not put together for this event.  Please help me...Thanks."

Hi Jessica,

A black tie event calls for a formal long evening gown.  If you’re on a budget there’s a couple places I’d recommend… either borrowing a dress from a friend who wears your size, or heading out to the mall and shopping the department stores. 

Check out Dillard’s or Macys, as they usually have a good selection and many times have sale racks up year round where if  you can find a good dress in many sizes and styles that won’t break the bank.
