Westcor Style Panels' Family Fun Aficionado Linda Whitlow is here to share clever tips about ways you can spend quality time with your loved ones — and create lasting memories at the same time.  We asked Linda to help us get to know her.

Tell us about yourself:
As the mother of 2 grown, successful daughters Amanda and Stephanie, I've done my share of "motherly" type things like being a Girl Scout Troop mother, Synchronized Swim Mother and PTA supporter. These very important titles have allowed me to hone my skills in baking, patching and the sewing of millions of sequined swim suits.

How long have you been in the fashion industry?:
I have over 25 years of experience in Fashion Retail — 13 of those years in Shopping Center Marketing. I've been with Westcor the last 2 years. Every day I work in the world of fashion in a shopping center environment full of change and newness — what could be better? 

How did you get interested in this line of work?
I fell into Fashion Merchandising while I was in college because of my love for sewing. One of my absolute favorite projects was a completely lined and tailored suit I made at the age of 11. In every personal photo featured in my senior highschool yearbook, I am wearing clothing that I handmade.

What is the hottest trend in your area right now?
I like that shopping centers are focusing on the shopping experience, offering fun things for families to do while shopping at our centers. One of our fun activities for kids is the Westcor Kids Club. It's a free, interactive music-filled program open to children of all ages. Members learn fun facts and explore new worlds in a musical, interactive, safe and happy place. We have the most loveable characters:  Dewper the Prairie Dog and Webster the Warthog. Along with Persephone and special guests, they lead members through storytelling, song and dance. Click on www.westcor.com for participating shopping centers and times.
