Pink Pedicure Party
by Heidi Swapp
My youngest daughter just turned five and has officially declared herself
a grown up! She was looking forward to her birthday party for months! So,
when I found myself with only a few days to pull together a party I knew I
needed a simple concept for a theme, and something that would be easy to tie
together! And, don't forget the most important thing, ¬ something grown
up.
The solution came in the form of a PINK pedicure party!
I printed simple invitations on my computer on white cardstock and added
a big pink flower to the side by folding it in half and clipping it to the
side. Great impact, quick execution!
For the party we set up a pedicure station outside by the pool with some yummy snacks.
We had a big tub that we filled with bubble bath and scrubbed their feet with a little brush and some salt scrub! We then did a quick massage with some yummy smelling strawberry lotion.
These little ladies were definitely feeling pampered! We painted their little toes all the same color and topped them off with a sparkly
jewel for their big toenail!
I saw these adorable flip flops at Target, and decided to purchase them as a
favor for the party girls! They couldn't wait to get their embellished piggies into the sparkly flips! And naturally they were more than happy to pose for a picture!
As one of Quincy's gifts, she got a new beach towel that matched her toes
perfectly, and I added some iron-on letters spelling her name.
First of
all, the girl loves to see her name on everything! And second it sure makes
it easy to figure out whose towel is whose!
I have had so much fun scrapbooking this party! To create this scrapbook
page, I used my large clear ghost alphabet and a Krylon paint pen to
highlight the edges.
This is also using my sassy sweet paper and tape lines I can't get enough
of the pink and green combo! And, I couldn't resist adding the green
jewels!
