Heidi's Summer Photo Contest
Part 2
Heidi recently conducted a summer photo contest where she chose three finalist's photos and created a page layout for them. Below is the second finalist.
Finalist Two: One Little Fish
When I opened these pics, I laughed right out loud. I LOVED the story here... not that much commentary was needed. I LOVE that little fish, and how proud this little boy was of his catch! SO CUTE! I love his little arm around his dad! It melted my heart!
I chose the photo with his arm around dad as my focal photo and mounted it on yellow cardstock. I always determine the position of all the photos before I move in on embellishing!
- First I created a left side border by layering the wide “sports” tape with the starts from the born free set. I sanded it all really good.
- Next I positioned the photos. I love to layer photos a bit... have them overlapping just a hair.
- I sanded all the edges of the photos to define the edges, and because I can’t stop myself.
- I cross balanced the page with two designer photo corners (top left, bottom right).
- I am loving circles lately, so I cut a circle journaling block and stamp with my “center of attention” font foam stamps. The yellow pops... I love it.
- I shadowed the letters with a little platinum pen and the journaling around the perimeter of the circle.
- To cross balance on this side, I cut down my block letter stickers and arranged them to accent the corner of the photo, it needed a little yellow up in that corner...
I’d like to thank Kristin for sharing, this moment is just priceless... thanks!!
Stay tuned for finalist three next week.
