Weighing In

Q & A with Therapist Lauren Bounds

Member Sheryl of Mesa asked:

"I was wondering when is the best time to weigh yourself: in the morning or in the evening?"

Hi Sheryl,

I'm not the best person to answer this question as I typically don't use a scale. I go by the way I feel and how my clothes fit.

But if you really depend on those numbers, my suggestion would be to chose a certain day of the week and always weigh around the same time. Don't weigh yourself daily as your weight can fluctuate depending on water weight.

Also keep in mind that if you are working out a lot you may not see the numbers change as much - muscle weighs more than fat! Most importantly stay in tune with how you feel.

Good luck, keep moving!
~ Lauren
