Don't Overdo It by Eating Too Little

Q and A with Trainer Chris Powell

Chris Powell

We asked Chris for his top tip for people wanting to shape up.  Here's his best advice.

Many people dive into diet and exercise with the ‘exercise more and eat less’ mentality that is engrained into us from media hype.  Although this may seem the common sense thing to do, it is very typical to overdo it and ‘exercise too much and eat too little’!  The most important aspect of fitness is understanding that NUTRITION is the foundation for effective exercise.  However, to use exercise for complete control and transformation of your body, a sound nutrition base is 80% of your success.

A sound nutrition program consists of the proper portions, nutrient combinations, and timing of your meals.  To rev up your metabolism and transform your body, start by eating smaller meals, but more frequently.  Your metabolism runs on a 3-hour clock – so if you eat every three hours, you will significantly increase your metabolic function…now it’s time to transform with exercise!

Don’t forget, you can get in shape in the cool comfort of home with Chris' Home workout
