What is Bio-Identical Hormone Pellet Therapy and how did you get started?
In 1992, I founded SottoPelle® based on a unique understanding of pellet therapy in the realm of bio-identical hormone replacement. With more than 27 years as a specialist in treating PMS, menopause and hormonal imbalance, I developed a highly effective treatment based on giving the right kind hormone (biologically identical), in the right amounts (based on testing & proper analysis of the results), using the right delivery system (pellets). These efforts continue to change the lives of thousands of women and men across the country who suffers from hormone deficiencies.
I first got involved in hormone replacement therapy 25 years ago when I was an OB/GYN. I noticed that there were women whose pregnancies were ending in miscarriage that should not have. Since progesterone is the hormone that supports pregnancy, I started to measure the progesterone levels in pregnant women’s blood and found that a lot of them would exhibit progesterone deficiencies in their second month of pregnancy.
I was aware of biologically identical hormones and thought that I could use these to help save their pregnancies. I found a pharmacist to produce bio-identical progesterone and indeed did save many pregnancies.
Later on, I felt that I would be able to help other women and men with hormone deficiencies by using biologically identical estrogen and testosterone pellets. I am happy to say that this has proven to be true again and again.
I currently train Physicians from all over the world on this customized procedure. My newest SottoPelle® location is in Scottsdale. If you haven’t already heard about the benefits of using bio-identical pellet therapy, you’re going to ask yourself why not.
