The Need
In 2006, the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports that 107 deaths in Arizona were related to domestic abuse. In just one year, nearly 18,000 women and children requested shelter to get away from a Domestic Violence situation. Over 14,000 of them were turned away because there was no room. That's a lot of need. And that's why Sweet Connection members are partnering with Chrysalis to help build a Domestic Violence shelter in Phoenix.

The Plan
Chrysalis currently has a shelter in Phoenix. The rooms are small and there aren't enough beds, as you can see in this photo tour .

Chrysalis, with help from Sweet Connection, will be expanding its Phoenix shelter to 40 beds and 10 cribs. That's a 250% increase in bed space. Read more about the plan.
