Women helping women. That's what Sweet Connection members will be doing. We've teamed up with the Arizona non-profit, Chrysalis, to help build a new, much needed domestic violence shelter for Phoenix women and children. Learn more.

1.5 million left to raise in the overall $6.2 million Campaign
With the last phase of the campaign in sight, Chrysalis will launch a general membership campaign. Individuals and groups will be encouraged to become part of the solution through their pledge to the campaign; creating safer options to families in crisis as a result of domestic abuse.
Chrysalis and the architects are now working on bringing the vision of the new Phoenix shelter into focus. Elements in the plans include an open courtyard, a state of the art child development center, spacious living quarters and other private community spaces. Groundbreaking timeline is contingent on a few last environmental tests required by the City of Phoenix.

Help Build a Shelter for Chrysalis
In preparation for breaking ground on phase one of the shelter construction this year, Chrysalis needs to move donations off-site. With Chrysalis locations now stretching across the Valley a centralized donation location is a necessity and an invaluable safety precaution.
Late last year, longtime friends and volunteers of Chrysalis, Roger and Marj Pelham generously issued a challenge to move Chrysalis closer to the goal of a sustainable donation center. Individuals and groups donated over $40,000 for the new donation center. The Pelhams generously matched these contributions dollar for dollar allowing for Chrysalis to move forward in establishing a donation center.
Chrysalis is currently looking for a centrally located space to house the donations as well as seeking items to set up the new location. Please visit Chrysalis' website for more information on how you can help.
