Hawaiian Trifle

Member Stacie from Florence

hawaiian fruit

"I just made it up one 4th of July when I was looking for something nice and cool to use in my new trifle bowl." ~ Stacie

Ingredients:

1 large and 1 small tub cool whip
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 can crushed pineapple - well drained
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup flaked coconut
4 - 6 bananas sliced
1 already made pound cake or angel food cake

Instructions:

In large mixing bowl mix cool whip, and all other ingredients EXCEPT cake and bananas. Don't over mix, just well enough to incorporate dry pudding mix.

Slice cake and bananas.

Layer cake on bottom of bowl. Spread layer of cool whip mixture over cake. Add a layer of bananas.

Keep adding layers (cake, cool whip, bananas) and end with cool whip mixture on top.

Sprinkle with pecans or coconut if you want.

Refrigerate for 1/2 hour before serving.
