How to Get Over It

By Relationship Barista Lissa Coffey

forget him

Dear Lissa,

After reading your response to the girl who was tricked by a liar, I had to write in. It happened to me also.

He is a business man in Paradise Valley. I, too, thought he was divorced. But no, 5 years of dating him, and he has been lying about EVERYTHING.

He also has a problem with hookers. How do I stop hating him, especially when I think he has just gone on as if nothing happened? I am so frazzled. It's like I was nothing to him!

Dear Frazzled,

First of all, be glad that you're done with him and didn't waste any more of your time on him. Whatever karma you had with this man is complete, and you can move on!

Now you've just got to focus on what you're doing - you can't think about what he's doing, it doesn't matter. Hating him is only hurting you, he doesn't feel it.

Channel your energies in a positive direction, and whenever you can, feel LOVE! Spend time with friends, kids, animals, doing things you enjoy. Pretty soon all those good emotions will override all the negative stuff and you'll be over it.

Love,
Lissa
