Filed for Divorce

A Sweet Connection member is questioning whether or not she filed for divorce too quickly.
Dear Lissa,
 I kicked my husband out because he didn't want to get a stable job and also had been doing drugs. We were constantly arguing in front of our four children about everything. I was the only one working. As soon as he left I filed for divorce. Some say I was too quick to file and should have filed for legal separation and gone to counseling. Was I too quick to give up on our marriage of two years? We've been together a total of 9 years.
Dear SC Member,
Too quick? I say what took you so long?! You have four children to think about and support. You can't put up with a partner who provides no support and drains the family resources with drug use. This sends a clear message to your husband: get a job, clean up your act. Anything less is unacceptable. It's up to your husband to get the help he needs for himself, no one can do it for him.
