Why is your online boutique unique?
The women of BBW Boutique are Big Beautiful Women who believe confidence is not measured by a dress size. We believe that you should be the woman you are... not dictated to about who you should be. We aren't going to tell somebody something looks good to make a sale.
We want women to believe in their own sense of style. We use real, everyday women to model our clothing... no air brushing here. That's our major feedback from customers... that we use all sizes of models who are real people.
What type of merchandise do you carry?
We offer fantastic Batik Cruise and Resort Wear; Gothic Gypsy Bohemian Tops; Victorian Inspired Two Piece Walking Gowns; Sexy stand out tops and skirts for club nights; and Career Dresses, Tops and Skirts that flatter and add fun to your wardrobe.
We want women to believe they are a gift to those around them... we just want to help dress up the package. We adhere to the rule that we are not too fat or should cover our bodies in tents. We are who we are and not all bodies are created equal. We believe life is to be enjoyed... that our bodies are beautiful. As we've said before: Celebrate the gift you are to those around you!
Although we are an online store, we do allow customers to come to our site to try clothing on in person. This is arranged via appointment, only. We try so very hard to provide the best customer service we can.
Tell us a little about the business:
We, Kerrilynn and Theresa, are plus size women ourselves and we offer what we believe to be unique styles not found in major plus size brick and mortar shops. Theresa has a BA in Management and previously worked as a Health Program Specialist in Washington State and in retail sales in Arizona. Kerrilynn has 20 years experience in contracts and purchasing. Together, we bring not just education and experience, but a true dedication to the plus size community.
How did you get started?
Our online plus size clothing boutique began as an eBay venture. Initially, we just sold our manufacturer's label but as we've gained some recognition in the plus size community, we've begun creating our own designs under our private label, BBW Boutique.
We couldn't have done this without the input of many friends and some repeat customers who told us what they wanted to see from us... what they were looking for but couldn't find in other plus size stores. |
