Tell us a little about yourself:
I’m a Native Arizonan married 32 years; I have two girls and six Grandchildren.
How did you get started in the business?
My business started when my Granddaughters wanted to wear fashionable dance clothes with rhinestones (bling). I started with the dancewear that turned into making anything they requested from t-shirts to pajamas (with bling of course). Their request soon became their friends and their friends’ friends and so on. Now you can find BabyKakes in boutiques. I also expanded my clothing line to maternity when one of my Daughters became pregnant and she wanted bling on her maternity clothes. Soon after that I had maternity stores asking for my clothes. Over the years it has become my passion to make fun fashionable clothes at affordable prices and of course for my Granddaughters to look adorable!
What are your newest and/or best selling items?
My best selling item is my dancewear line. Believe it or not there is a high demand for dance clothes that are unique and fun!
My newest line is my Slumber Party Sleep wear which is adorable boxer shorts, YES boxer shorts with ruffles and rhinestones with matching tops/tanks!
What makes your business unique?
In addition to my clothes that are inspired by my family, BabyKakes is available to customize your imagination and there is no quantity minimum.
