What is unique about your jewelry?
I create unique Collage Art Pendants and Necklaces. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. I love to find artwork or a pattern and develop a whole series of pendants based on its beauty. The beadwork and crystal placement add embellishments unique to each pendant. I also love working with people’s personal pictures. I incorporate their children, animals or whatever subject they love and try to include their personality into each embellishment and color used to create a personalized piece that can be treasured for years to come. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and you will never see it on anyone else. I have many return customers who have bought the pendants as gifts and could not resist owning one themselves. All pendants range from $25-$55.
What is your favorite item?
I think the most meaningful is my Think Pink! Breast Cancer Courage series of pendants. Each pendant is designed in pink artwork with a word of inspiration charm. Each pendant also features a pink cord and toggle closure. I donate $5.00 from each sale to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund.
What type of materials do you use?
The hand made, silver soldered pendant is made from lead free silver solder and glass. Some are one sided, but most have artwork on both sides. They are available in three sizes- 1”x2”, 1”x3” and 1”x4”. Each is decorated with beads and Swarovski Crystals. The pewter pendants are approximately 1 ¼”x7/8” and are made from a pewter frame sealed with a resin finish over the collaged art. All pieces contain one of a kind collage artwork in many different themes. The artwork used is always printed on acid free high quality paper.
How did you get started in this business and why?
I have had a passion for jewelry and all things eclectic since I was young. I took jewelry design and construction classes in high school and college which taught me the basics of working with metal and soldering. When I became a stay-at-home mom, I began looking for an avenue to create jewelry that I really loved and could pour my heart and soul into. I happened across a style of jewelry referred to as Collage Art and was consumed immediately in the endless choices of artwork I could use. The options for creativity are infinite and I always fall in love with the uniqueness of each piece I create.
