How did you get started in this business and why?
Schmitt Jewelers is a family-owned and operated retail jewelry business that has been serving the Phoenix metropolitan area since 1970. Owned by brothers Tom and Tim Schmitt, Schmitt Jewelers was initially opened in 1970 by their parents Larry and Marie Schmitt. In the early 1980s, sons Tom and Tim joined the retail operation full time. Both sons finished college with backgrounds in finance and business, allowing the family operation to focus on continued success in the 21st century.

What type of jewelry do you specialize in? 
We offer something for everyone. We have something in every price range. Schmitt Jewelers features over 25 designer lines, 7 watch brands and our own award winning Schmitt designs.

What piece of jewelry would you say is most unique in your store?
The most unique pieces of jewelry are the Heirloom eggs – a series of delicately handcrafted, one of a kind objets d’art. The eggs are 18kt. gold encrusted with diamonds, pearls and precious gemstones. When opened, the heirloom egg presents an array of lasered family photo replicas, making this piece of art a family heirloom for centuries to come.      

What is your newest or hottest selling item?
One of our hottest selling items is our Jude Frances charm and diamond hoop earrings. The hoop and charms are sold separately making it easy for the ladies to change the entire look of the earring by just changing the charm. They are offered in 18kt. yellow or white gold, with or without diamonds and an array of colored gemstones.
