Tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in the jewelry business.
It began as a very rewarding creative outlet for me. I didn’t go into it ever considering it to be a business. It just happened. As it was intended I guess! April 1st was my third year anniversary of working my business full time. I have been designing and selling jewelry for almost 6 years. In September I opened a studio that is used mainly for production, and that has taken me to the next level.
What is unique about your jewelry?
Though it is very fashionable and stylized, it has a classic look to it. The designs are unique yet still very wearable. I also payclose attention to detail, and use really nice toggles and clasps, and I’m really picky when it comes to quality.
What type of materials do you use?
Sterling silver and gold filled vermeil, semi-precious stones such as Quartz crystal - the predominant stone in one of my collections, "On the Rocks." Also, Citrine, amethyst, turquoise and I also use a lot of freshwater pearls.
What type of jewelry do you specialize in?
It is all beaded, and I do many designs of layered multi strands, as well as simple one strand mixes, of semi-precious stones, crystal, and silvers with pendants.
What is your hottest selling item?
The Recovery Bracelet has been a phenomenal piece of jewelry that honors my brother and benefits the rehab unit of Barrow Neurological Institute. It begins with a white pearl that represents health and is followed by the clasp, which is where something happens. Then it is a progression of freshwater pearls that start small and grow in size representing the steps of recovery. The goal is to get back to the white pearl. I also am known for the chunky quartz pieces in "On the Rocks".
Where can we find your jewelry?
In the Phoenix area, my jewelry is sold at The Antique Gallery, Objects, Panache, The Phoenician, French, The Museum shop at Scottsdale Center for the Arts, The JW Marriott at Desert Ridge, and The Desert Botanical Gardens. I also have an on-line store on my website.
What is the price range of your jewelry?
Earrings $42 to $70
Bracelets $45 to $120.
Necklaces Most are $160 to $225. Some up to $625.
What else should our members know about your jewelry or store? I take good care of my customers, and some have been with me since day one. I am proud of that.
