Tell us a little about yourself.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. I moved to Arizona when I was 21 to work and attend school. I am currently working on my Bachelor's Degree in
E-Commerce from The University of Phoenix and will be graduating this Fall 2006! I have been happily married to my best friend Adam Allen for two years now. We have an adorable 1 year old son named Austin. He definitely keeps me busy during the days! I travel a lot between Arizona and Texas to see my family and friends in San Antonio. I love living in Arizona but I'm a Texan at heart!
How did you get started in this business and why?
I originally started making jewelry for myself and for friends. I absolutely love jewelry and would go from boutique to boutique searching for one of a kind items. I found some really interesting jewelry at many of these boutiques but I was never able to find that perfect piece. I decided to create the one of a kind items I was looking for, myself.
Where can we find your jewelry?
My lines are currently carried in The Purple Skirt, Get Dressed!, and Bullies in a China Shoppe. Business is expanding and I will be adding many more locations in the near future. Some of my jewelry is available for purchase online. Customers also have the option to build their own custom LottiDot Designs jewelry through the "Custom Queen" page of my website.
What should our members know about your jewelry or store?
Our jewelry is unlike anything you have ever seen before. Our lamp work beads are one of a kind and cannot be purchased in any store or catalog. They are created specifically for our line. Our jewelry is truly unique and always the topic of discussion. Mrs. George Strait is a fan! We also have a new service available for weddings. Many brides have requested one of a kind jewelry for their bridesmaids and other women in the wedding party. With the wedding colors, we create a special "series" of beads for the bride to choose from. We then create unique jewelry for the bridesmaids, flower girls, mother of the bride and so on! We are able to create several differently designed beads, all with the wedding colors, so that each woman is able to have her own unique bead style but all with matching wedding colors. This is a real attention getting addition to any wedding! Your wedding day is one of a kind and so should your jewelry!
What is unique about your jewelry?
All of my pieces feature one of a kind handmade lampwork beads, created by my sister. She has been a lampwork artist for over eight years and has also been featured in several different publications. Her beads are the center and inspiration for all of my creations. The quality and the creativity that is put into the design of each bead is what makes LottiDot Designs jewelry truly unique. This jewelry is full of personality as well as individuality.
What type of materials do you use?
I use one of a kind, handmade lamp work beads, also known as art glass, in all of my designs as well as high quality sterling silver and Swarovski crystals.
What type of jewelry do you specialize in?
LottiDot Designs carries bracelets, necklaces and earrings. I offer these pieces alone or as sets.
What is your newest or hottest selling item?
Right now, our pendant necklaces and earrings have been selling out consistently. These pieces are much simpler than last season's styles and really place a heavy emphasis on the art glass or lamp work beads that are the main components of each creation. A focus on the artistic content and uniqueness of each piece of jewelry has replaced last year's abundance of crystals and other flashy components. The one of a kind beads in the jewelry speak for themselves and maintain a style that can't be duplicated all on their own.
